Cabinet lights are a range of LED’s which can be fitted inside cabinets or drawers to provide illumination when they are opened. These LED’s are currently available to purchase in 1.8W or 3W. There is also a range of compatible cupboard light sensors which use IR technology for ease of turning the lights on and off. Saving-Light-Bulbs supplies the DC relays switches and sockets that are compatible with our LED cabinet lights.
IR Door Sensors are especially popular alongside the use of cabinet lights; the sensor uses an infra-red beam to sense when the door of a cabinet is opened and switches the 12-24v DC supply voltage on to illuminate the LED. The IR Door sensor itself is of compact design with an aluminium surface mount sensor that is attached to the cabinet’s side by the door. It isn’t obvious or in your face so tends to be very popular with how effective it is.
The other cupboard light sensor is an IR Hand Sensor; similarly to the IR Door sensors, the hand sensor uses an Infra-red beam to detect hand movement within 80mm of the beam and switches the 12-24v DC supply voltage to turn the LED ON. All you have to do is simply wave a hand in front through the beam to switch the light on and wave it back through the bean to switch it off. IR Hand Sensors are ideal for under cabinet lighting or other applications where the switch can be used.
Saving-Light Bulbs offers an exclusive offer where both the LED cabinet light and sensor can be purchased together to save money and make a purchase much easier. The range of drivers that might be required with the door and hand sensors can also be purchased; they tend to require a 12-24v LED driver to power.
