LED PL Lamp

The LED PL lamp is an energy efficient version of the standard CFL PL lamp which has now widespread use in modern commercial and residential properties. The PL lamp was introduced as a requirement for building regulations to ensure that energy efficiency targets were met. The PL light bulb does not allow standard filament or halogen light bulbs to be fitted which assures that energy efficiency is maintained. The LED push fit lamp (PL lamp) goes one step further improving energy efficiency even more but additionally providing a light which comes on instantly and having an extremely long life. An additional benefit of the LED PL lamp is that when it is used with motion sensors or PIR's it does not suffer from a reduced lifespan unlike the CFL PL lamp which has a dramatically shortened life when continually turned on and off. The LED PL lamp has an extremely long rated life, typically 50000 hours, which minimises inconvenience or safety issues caused by PL lamp failures and also dramatically reduces maintenance costs. The directional PL lamps are particularly efficient when placed in ceiling fittings as they only shine light downwards reducing losses caused by firing light back into the fitting.
