2D LEDs

2D LED replacement lamps for traditional 2D fluorescent compacts. These lamps are particularly suited for commercial applications where long life and reliability is of prime importance. These 2D LED lamps are available with 2Pin RG8 and 4 pin GR10q are a direct replacement for the florescent 2D's with the 14W 2D LED replacing the 28W and the 7W replacing the 16W. These lamps are directional so do give out an excellent bright light and will save over 50% in electricity costs over the traditional fluorescent 2D compact. The extremely long life of 35000 hours makes them ideally suited to installations where low failures and low maintenance is important.
The 2D LED has a directional beam which means that it is more efficient than the CFL 2D compact because all the light is cast outwards where it needs to be and not backwards into the light fitting resulting in loss of efficiency. As a result then the actual light level in the space (LUX level) will be much higher for a 2D LED of equivalent lumens output than with the CFL 2D LED. This gives much better illumination and efficiency.
The LED technology is far more reliable than fluorescent with the frequent switching that you get with PIR's. Consequently they will not suffer from premature failure long before the rated life as often experienced with fluorescent 2D compacts.
These 2D LED lamps are instant start and have no flickering unlike often experienced with fluorescent 2D compacts.
